Why “Missional”?

Being missional is at the heart of all that we do as a ministry because at its root is the Gospel. But what is “Missional”? We cannot allow being “missional” to become an intellectual pursuit left only to discussion and theory, nor can it simply be the redefining of evangelism.

The word “Social Action” has become the possession of the liberal “social gospel” that denies the scriptural meaning of the truth of Christ and his gospel.

Unfortunately, many Christians have abandoned the call and example of Jesus to love in action that embodies the gospel message of the redemption of all things in Christ Jesus.

And so, we believe in “Missional Action” where our deeds validate our words and our words explain our deeds.
Our goal is to obey the commandments of Jesus because we love him and because he said that only those who obey him are the ones who love him and are his disciples.

The Greatest Commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind and with all of your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

Missional Action Opportunities

First and foremost, we believe that Missional Action should begin with a sensitivity and willingness to follow the Holy Spirit in meeting the physical and spiritual needs around us with His wisdom.

It is our hope and prayer that our students take the personal initiative to engage in missional action and bring others with them, whether as a Life Group, a group of friends, or individually.
